boggarts_leap,_station_area
This layout was brought in as a pre built model that was over 30 years old. We did a lot of scenic work bringing colour, detail and life back into the model.

We have a standard selection of sizes that can be seen below but are quite happy to build a layout or baseboards to your requirements ranging from a simple circle on a small board up to a complete custom multi level build completed with trackwork, wiring and scenery.

custom_two_level_layoutThis was a complete custom built designed to accomodate one of the Hornby setrack plans. It features two levels and two access points. It measures 15' x 6'

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE IMAGES OF JUST SOME OF THE LAYOUTS WE HAVE BUILT.

We offer a retro fitting service for trackwork and wiring. If you have built a layout but unsure how to wire we can offer our services to take your layout away and bring it back fully wired.

Have you gotten your layout past the running stage and now require scenics but have no idea where to start? We can offer a range of services from design ideas to complete scenification of your layout.

We have no problem with using already owned trackwork, electrical items, scenery etc and can quote for whatever else is required if you only have part of the required items and we are even happy to provide an items list so you can find the cheapest place to buy the rest of the parts needed to complete the work we are undertaking.

We have broken the prices up into stages to make combinations easier.

hornby_layout_underneath

Brought out of the workshop to show a customer the folding leg system.

hornby_layout_underneath_3

With the legs folded allowing an almost flush finish,

large_board_with_shelfThis board is a complete custom comprising of 12mm thick Birch marine grade plywood with integrated shelving. It measures 12' x 6' and features bolted legs rather than folding. It was hand delivered by us in our owned van to our customer 250 miles away.

n_gauge_circle_wiring
A small N aguge layout we did from baseboard through to track laying and wiring. Due to the small size of only 4' by 18" we went deeper on the sideframes to allow point motors to fit under the legs when folded up.

This is the above layout free standing, in the centre at the back you can see the control board.

wonderworldOne of our biggest challenges was "Wonderworld" a 20' long HO scale fully operating theme park. Complete with working log flume. ferris wheel (with our own electronics to ensure every car is able to transfer passengers), dodgems, automatic monorail and miniature railway and many more rides. This was scenically challenging due to the sheer volume of items to be fitted including the 1,500 people we painted by hand.

my_layout
Another N gauge measuring 12' long by 2'6" wide

This was built from start to finished (still in production on this photo) by us for exhibition use. It features 4 levels of trackwork and virtually no flat parts as the customer wanted it representative of a modern working freight branch line based in the pennines. It even features our home made electronics allowing a two station platform to shuttle into a three station fiddle yard operating points and signals on the way. It was also worked so it detected how many trains you had so if out of 4 possible trains you only had two on it
would automatically shuttle just the two of them.

Not quite finished yet but we felt the farmers sheep were getting hungry sat in their box so we let them loose on his field
